I. Is the TaylorMade stealth driver worth it?

In my opinion, the TaylorMade Stealth driver is a solid choice and a worthy investment. It is equipped with cutting-edge technology and features that ensure its longevity and effectiveness on the course.

The club has been specifically designed to provide golfers with longer, straighter drives, making it a great option for mid to low-handicap players who seek a higher ball flight and improved performance.

The aerodynamic design adds to the club’s visual appeal and increases speed and average distance. With its advanced features, you can expect to use this driver for several seasons without having to upgrade.

II. My experience review with TaylorMade stealth driver

Watching Tiger Woods use the TaylorMade stealth driver at the PNC Championship in December 2021 was a sight to behold. The club’s sleek design with its black and red head immediately caught my eye. Since then, I have been eager to try and see if it could live up to its hype for exceptional performance and forgiveness.

After testing TaylorMade stealth driver in multiple rounds, I could say this club is an efficient club. It’s accurate and forgiving, which has helped me improve my game. The carbon twist face technology is a significant improvement because it gives the ball speed, launch angle, and accuracy.

Moreover, the asymmetric inertia generator gives the club extra stability and reduces twisting on off-center hits.

My Test Stats

ParameterTest Stats
Ball speed165.7 mph
Club speed113.0 mph
Launch Angle11.3 degrees
Back spin2149 rpm
Side Angle 1.7 degrees
Carry distance313 yards

As I took my first swing with the TaylorMade Stealth driver, I observed its solid sound, comfortable feel, and good feedback. The distinct and firm sound at impact indicates the club’s high-quality engineering and performance.

The comfortable grip and well-balanced design of the club helped me make smooth swings, and the feedback I got was crucial in helping me fine-tune my swings for maximum distance and accuracy.

What I liked the most was that even my mis-hits turned out to be long and accurate. With a good and stable spin rate, I was able to hit the fairway an average of 300 yards and about 330 yards on a good shot. It felt great to see the ball go straight with a mid-high launch angle.

Overall, I would say the TaylorMade Stealth driver is a great choice for mid to low-handicap golfers. I would recommend it to any golfer looking to step up their game.

III. In terms of performance factors

The features mentioned above have been included in the drivers with a specific benefit. So, to understand each of the benefits and how they are helpful for you, read further.

1. Forgiveness (Score 9/10)

The future of new stealth driver performance begins with the TaylorMade Stealth Driver, its 60X Carbon Twist Face, which provides more forgiveness on off-center hits, resulting in straighter drives.

This carbon face comprises sixty layers of carbon sheets strategically arranged for better energy transfer and to deliver fast ball speeds across the large face area.

2. Distance (Score 9/10)

The first thing I looked after the face is the new innovative nanotexture cover – as it has changed the face of golf. This textured surface helps reduce spin and optimal launch angle, resulting in longer drives.

It also provides additional feel and feedback at impact to be confident in your swings. The face also creates more spin on shots hit low on the face, resulting in increased launch angle and optimal distance.

3. Sound and Feel (Score 8/10)

When it comes to evaluating golf club performance, sound plays a crucial role in determining feel. So, after trying and testing it with golfers with all skills, I felt that the drivers create a perfect sound.

So whether you’re hitting it off the tee or on the fairway, you can be confident that you’ll hear a satisfying “thwack” when you make contact with the ball.

4. Speed (Score 8/10)

So, when I looked for speed in the new driver, I found that the Asymmetric Inertia Generator (A.I.G.) creates advanced aerodynamics at the initial phase of the swing, the moment right before the impact.

This design helps you to increase clubhead speeds on every swing. So, I can say that whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro, you can certainly benefit from this feature.

IV. Features and benefits of TaylorMade stealth driver

TaylorMade engineers designed the TaylorMade stealth driver to set a new standard with the introduction of their new feature, a 60x carbon twist face. TaylorMade has improved driver performance with this feature.

Let us take a look at the features and benefits of the TaylorMade Stealth driver in detail.

1. 60X Carbon Twist Face

The all-new 60x carbon twist face unlocks the mass and makes it as light as possible. The 60x carbon twist face will help create more ball speed for the golfers because the heaviest single component on a golf club driver is the face. This overarching technology gives added forgiveness, optimal spin, and launch.

So, the face of these drivers is made of carbon, an interesting material because it’s lighter and stronger than titanium. Moreover, If I speak more statically, the new carbon twist face texture is 40% lighter than the titanium face.

2. Nanotexture cover

The 60x carbon twist face of this golf club is covered by a polyurethane cover, a revolutionary new Nanotexture technology.

The texture of the cover allowed me to reduce spin and increase my launch angle, resulting in longer drives. I would say the polyurethane cover on the TaylorMade Stealth driver is a real game-changer is a notable innovation that positively impacted my game.

3. High MOI Design

The high moment of inertia (M.O.I.) design of the TaylorMade Stealth Drivers makes it one of the most forgiving drivers on the market. The overall weight savings of the 60x Carbon twist Face have been reduced by removing the weight of the sliding weight track, and these savings have further allowed adding more weight to the low and deep head.

4. Asymmetric Inertia Generator

The Asymmetric Inertia Generator (A.I.G.) is a weight placed in the back corner of the club head that increases forgiveness and launch angle.

This inertia generator helps in enhancing swing speed generation on the downswing at every level for all golfers. It is one of the basic sources of refined aerodynamic properties, resulting in a slippery-fast head shape.

5. Thru-Slot Speed Pocket

The Thru-Slot Speed Pocket is a slot located in the sole of the club that helps create more flex at impact, resulting in a higher launch angle and maximum distance.

The thru-slot is the most flexible speed pocket design, which is engineered to produce additional forgiveness and maximize ball speeds on low-face strikes.

VI. Alternative options to TaylorMade stealth driver

If you’re considering alternative options to the TaylorMade Stealth Driver due to concerns over price or features, several top-performing options are available in the market.

1. Callaway Rogue ST Max

The Callaway Rogue S.T. range is the brand alternative to Stealth. However, it retains titanium. A 26-gram tungsten speed cartridge is located at a lower depth in the crown to raise the driver’s motor in force. It keeps the club square and produces a high effect for a perfect result.

The Rogue ST Max is capable of high speed, thanks to the fast jailbreaking frame. The stability head keeps the head flat while increasing speed and lowering the spinning in the expanded zones. So you can maximize yardage for the hole.

Finally, Callaway applied an adjustable Hosell to the driver to assist in achieving optimum launch and carrying range. The only drawback is that there is no matching wrench and no sliding weight track.

2. Cleveland Launcher XL

Cleveland brand is usually known for its wedges and putters, but they have even introduced some drivers. So, if you need distance and forgiveness, Cleveland drivers greatly help. The launcher XL is the highest M.O.I. driver that Cleveland has introduced and comes with an adjustable hosel.

Due to its low and deep weight, it delivers maximum forgiveness and distance for moderate-speed players. As these drivers don’t have many cons, you can pick them as an alternative to TaylorMade. They are comparatively affordable and easy to hit.

3. Cobra King LTDx

The first model from Cobra is the LTDx, made for mid to low-handicappers. The LTDx has a new H.O.T. face design, increasing ball speed across the face.

LTDx offers low spin and medium launch but still offers forgiveness. Cobra has the first ever “Zero C.G.” driver, which means its center of gravity is at the neutral of gravity at neutral line.

It features a multi-material weighting system, lightweight carbon crown, and AI-generated face, which boosts stability and provides breakthroughs in speed and forgiveness. These drivers are also a great alternative for TaylorMade drivers.

My Take

If you’re looking for a new driver, I highly recommend trying the TaylorMade Stealth Driver. It’s one of the most forgiving drivers currently on the market due to its 60X Carbon Twist Face, Nanotexture Cover, and High M.O.I. Design, Asymmetric Inertia Generator, and Thru-Slot Speed Pocket technologies.

After extensively testing and trying, I can be sure that you’ll be satisfied with this driver’s performance on the golf course!
